This recruiting class for the Red Raiders continues to get better with the addition of 4-Star wing Khavon Moore. Moore is a 6-8 guard/ forward that has the ability to play all 5 positions on the floor. The guard from Macon, Georgia picked Texas Tech over Oklahoma, Mercer, Kentucky, and Texas A&M just to name a few who offered him.

He was a 2000 point scorer at Westside High School and suffered a broken leg in the middle of January, ending his season. Moore will make a full recovery and go on to be an amazing player at Texas Tech. Moore averaged a double-double in his Sophmore and Junior seasons as he averaged 19.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds over his 4-year career.

Moore is the best recruit that Texas Tech has ever been able to sign. He is a consensus 4-star recruit and is even rated with 5-stars on some recruiting websites. He will be able to come in next year and make an immediate contribution for the Red Raiders. He will most likely play the small forward spot for Tech. Next year’s team will be young but extremely talented.

With the addition of Moore, guards CJ Roberts and Kyler Edwards, and forward Deshawn Corpew, the Red Raiders can make a huge splash in the Big 12 next year, even with all of the new players. Three of these four players will be able to make a huge impact in Big 12 play next year.
