After the first victory of the year in the Opening day, the Red Raiders continued their good moment beating Maine also in the second game of the series, with a final score of 12-1. Pitcher Dylan Dusek got the win after he relieved starter Steven Gingery, who left the game on a precautionary basis after 2.1 innings with a left elbow discomfort. Ty Harpenau and Nick Candelari were on the mound in the last four innings and they didn’t allow hits.

Four Red Raiders had multi-hit games, with sophomore Gary Little leading the group with three hits and two bases on ball in five plate appearances. Little had two RBIs, alongside with freshman pinch-hitter KC Simonich, both in the first at-bat of his college career, Josh Jung, and Cody Farhat.
