On Thursday afternoon, coach Chris Beard and senior Justin Gray spoke with the media before the second game of the season between Texas Tech and Baylor. Arguably, these are the hottest teams in the Big 12, as the Red Raiders won their last seven matches, and the Bears their last four.
As usual, coach Beard touched many topics, starting from the threat 7-feet-0 forward Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. can be for his team (he didn’t play the first game due to an injury). He also discussed the good performance senior forward Terry Maston had against Texas on Tuesday (26 points), and Zach Smith’s recovery timetable.
Alongside with him, Justin Gray talked about upcoming opponents too, the strengths Baylor can put on the court, and about the defensive mentality coach beard is instilling into his players.
