As expected, the top three have remained the same, but Georgia has made it into the top four, They will face Alabama in the SEC Championship this weekend. If Georgia loses, Oklahoma and Ohio State should be next in line. The Sooners moved up from No. 6 to No. 5 while Ohio State jumped from No. 10 to No. 6. In case you missed it, the Buckeyes defeated previously-No. 4 Michigan in Week 13 while Oklahoma barely beat then-No. 13 West Virginia. The Sooners will face the Longhorns this weekend in the Big 12 Championship.
The SEC has a total of eight teams in the Top 25 with at least four teams in the New Years Six bowl games, and that’s no likely to change after this weekend. Washington State, dropped from No. 8 to No. 13 following its loss to Washington in the Apple Cup, and it’s looks like the two-loss Cougars are might miss out on a New Year’s Six bowl.
