Who is the top incoming recruit?

With 12 players signed who is the best player the Red Raiders landed?

NCAA Football: Eastern Washington at Texas Tech Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

With 11 of the 12 players that signed with Tech during the early signing period being offensive players, it’s easy to believe this coaching staff restocked the roster with playmakers. While positions like receiver and quarterback are normally what fans focus on the most, they are not necessarily the place where you will find the best acquisition.

Currently, the Red Raiders are ranked as the eighth highest recruiting class in the Big 12 and the 62nd ranked class nationally. There is still plenty of work to be done and this ranking could move up and down depending on who this coaching staff lands over the next two months.

The great thing about having such a young and promising defense is that the coaching staff can focus most of their attention to the offensive side of the ball. With a solid foundation laid at the early signing period, I expect the Red Raiders to look to land some high profile talent on the offensive side of the ball and be very selective on who they offer on the defensive side.

I am really excited about the depth of talent that is coming in at the receiver and offensive line positions. I think you have several players that will be key contributors and maybe even stars for the Red Raiders in a few short years.

Enough of what I think though, what do you think?
