After the big victory over the Jayhawks, many fans feared the possibility of a Texas Tech letdown, as the game against the Wildcats seemed to be easier to manage and, consequently, more prone to unpleasant surprises.
Conversely, the Red Raiders won their third Big 12 game going 14-1 overall, with a fast start that stunned Kansas State. The Wildcats only scored four points in the first ten minutes of the game and trailed 22-40 at the halftime.
In the second half, not everything was easy for the home team instead. Kansas State defended with high intensity and cut the deficit to seven points (35-42) before Keenan Evans decided to throttle again and widen the gap again.
