Does March 4th, 2009, tell you something? It was the last time Texas Tech defeated Kansas, 84-65 at the United Supermarket Arena. Until yesterday, the Red Raiders had a 4-33 record against the Jayhawks, 0-17 at the Allen Fieldhouse.

Never Texas Tech won in Lawrence, and the best result was a 6-point loss, obtained in 1963. We also had a -58 in recent times, 109-51 in March 2008. Until yesterday.

The Red Raiders obtained a national statement defeating the Jayhawks at the Allen Fieldhouse, never trailing in the game, and gaining an 11-point lead at the halftime that was protected with strength and decision until the final buzzer.

As usual, Keenan Evans was the best scorer with 15 points, but he was well helped by his teammates, as Norense Odiase, Jarrett Culver, and Justin Gray had 12 points, and Zhaire Smith had 11. Odiase also took eight rebounds.
