After the victory over the Bears that gave the Red Raiders a nice start in the Big 12 and an overall 12-1 record, it’s time for the first conference away game, as Texas Tech will face the Jayhawks in Lawrence on January 2nd.
Coach Chris Beard spoke with the media before traveling to Kansas, and he shared his excitement for this game because the team will face one of the best teams in the country in “one of basketball’s great historic places to play”.
He also discussed his defensive approach against Baylor and gave some updates on Zach Smith’s injury. He was accompanied by senior forward Tommy Hamilton IV and senior guard Niem Stevenson.
