Play That Impacted the Game
After Kansas took a 6-4 lead in the top of the sixth inning, Brian Klein led off the bottom of the inning. After four pitches the count was even at two and Brian proceeded to foul off four straight, take a ball, and foul off another two before singling down the left field line. Grant Little would double him in to score and Tech took off from there.
Stat of the Game
30. It took Jacob Patterson just 30 pitches to shut down Kansas over the final three innings, in which he allowed just a single batter on base via a hit by pitch. 21 of his pitches were strikes as he struck out four.
