After last year’s superb showing against Louisiana-Lafayette, Arkansas, and Houston in the classic, Tech was invited back this year, against a trio of SEC powers. Joining the Red Raiders from the Big 12 are #1 TCU and undefeated Baylor. The SEC brings #3 LSU, #11 Ole Miss, and #15 Texas A&M. This tournament is one of the most powerful of the season in terms of teams invited, with 5 ranked, and an undefeated Baylor team. Of the 6 teams, 2 made it to Omaha last year (Tech and TCU), and 2 others were National Seeds (LSU and Texas A&M).
