That’s right, in seven years, we get to watch Tech play Abilene Christian! What a treat! BRB, going to go punch a wall.
In the meantime, here’s a list of people who are genuinely excited about the matchups:
OK, now that that’s out of the way, here’s a list of people who are feeling indignant:
@TexasTechFB Too late to cancel my season football tickets? This game 7 yrs away irritates me enough to just be done w/ it now. Total crap

@TexasTechFB pathetic... our program will be worse than KU by then so these may be only wins those two years

@TexasTechFB that's a trash game

@TexasTechFB it was cool when this was Oregon and NC State but this is sad. Nobody is excited about this.

@TexasTechFB really? Is that where we are as a Big 12 program?

@TexasTechFB I'll be on my feet for that. Hope we get a nice series against another solid team in 2089 as well as 3247

Honestly, the list goes on and on, but I’m not going to spend my Friday copying and pasting tweets lamenting the poor scheduling by Tech athletics. They should get the hint by now. This was simply atrocious decision-making.
