It's been an incredible ride

It has been great to be a part of Viva The Matadors and the SB Nation community these past 10 months. Sports writing is something I have been passionate about for a long time and I was super excited when the opportunity came to join VTM back in May. The idea of writing about Texas Tech sports on a weekly basis was a dream come true for me.

No matter what sport I wrote about, I enjoyed writing about all of them. Whether it was football, basketball, baseball, etc., they were all fun to write about. Being a proud alumnus of Texas Tech and a former member of the Saddle Tramps spirit organization, I have and always will have tremendous passion for the university and the athletic programs.

I have also enjoyed getting to know everyone who is or was on staff during my time here. Thank you for allowing me to come in and be a part of this amazing family. I have enjoyed working with and getting to know every one of you.

With that being said, I will be leaving VTM to join the writing staff at RedRaiderSports.com, the Rivals.com website for Texas Tech. There I will be able to continue writing about Tech athletics and take my sports writing to the next level. Like with VTM, this was an opportunity I could not pass up.

I will miss writing for Viva The Matadors very much, but it is time for me to move on to bigger and better things. I will always be a supporter of VTM and I wish everyone here nothing but the best.
