After the Red Raiders won their first Big 12 game of the season against No. 18 Baylor, improving their record to 12-1 with an impressive 10-0 at home, coach Beard shared his thoughts with the media.
He expressed satisfaction with the way his players managed the Baylor offense, as the Bears only had one assist in the entire game and were heavily outscored in rebounds, 39 to 21.
He was also happy for the big crowd that attended the game, especially in a period in which students aren’t in Lubbock and gave a first update about the injury that sidelined Zach Smith after only four minutes of play.
Keenan Evans and Zhaire Smith also spoke with journalists after the victory.
