2017 is almost finished, and, with him, also the off conference schedule is gone. The Red Raiders will start their conference schedule on Friday, as they’ll face No. 18 Baylor at the United Supermarkets Arena. The tip-off will be at 7 p.m.

Coach Beard discussed this game in his press conference, understanding that the Big 12 offers tougher challenges, but at the same time being sure his team showed improvements and is ready for this kind of competition.

Along with him, senior guard Keenan Evans talked about his missed start against Abilene Christian. Both him and coach Beard said it was a disciplinary decision the player understood and agreed.
