The Big 12 really showed its prowess this past week.
Big-time wins against previously undefeated Florida State and Wichita State has the entire conference looking stout. The Big 12 came with a nation-leading six teams in this week’s AP poll, with two more teams receiving votes.
Only four unbeatens remain, and with each of them having fairly light schedules in the upcoming weeks, it’s safe to say they’ll all hold steady for the rest of the calendar year and into conference play. There have only been four teams in more than 35 years to have a perfect regular season, can one of the four add their name to the list?
Texas Tech had back-to-back 20-point wins over the weekend, which bumped them up in the rankings. With two more cupcakes on the schedule, look for Tech to stay on here for at least a few more weeks until the real fun begins, conference season.
