Despite only shooting 33 percent from the free-throw line, the Red Raiders managed to take care of the Rice Owls on Saturday night at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum by a score of 73-53.

Tech extends Gibbs and Hocutt

David Gibbs is getting a raise of $100,000 and at least two more years in Lubbock, while Kirby Hocutt has been given an extension that lasts until 2025.

Tech lands PWO Gatlin

Hailing from IMG Academy in Florida, Case Gatlin Jr. turned down several other Division I offers to walk on at Texas Tech. Gatlin will be a Prefered Walk-on and will be in Lubbock for a visit soon.
