After the Red Raiders conquered their sixth consecutive win, defeating Savannah State 103-69, coach Beard expressed his satisfaction for the performance, that came only two days after Wofford, without much time to prepare the game.

He praised the team mentality, as the players stayed focused all game long without conceding the Tigers any possibility to recover, and recognized the particularity of the game because Savannah State had a very particular style of play.

In addition, also freshman guards Jarrett Culver (18 points, seven assists, and four rebounds) and Zhaire Smith (17 points) talked with the media, specifying how defending against a fast-paced team like the Tigers was a particular challenge.

The Red Raiders will play again on next Thursday, as they’ll travel to New York to face No. 20 Seton Hall in the Madison Square Garden, for the Under Armour Reunion.
