Big 12 power rankings: A quiet week

The top dogs of the conference were on a bye this week, but there was minor movement from the games that did occur

There were only three conference games this week, but the games that did take place produced a very minor shift in the rankings. Check it out:

1. TCU Horned Frogs (-)

The Frogs were on a bye, but will face another tough test against West Virginia this week.

2. Oklahoma Sooners (-)

The Sooners also had a bye, and get a relatively easy matchup this week against Iowa State at home.

3. Oklahoma State Cowboys (-)

Any time you get out of Lubbock at night with a win, you have nothing to be upset about, no matter how narrow the margin of victory.

4. West Virginia Mountaineers (+1)

Another team that was on a bye this week, but the Mountaineers move up thanks to the Red Raiders’ loss.

5. Texas Tech Red Raiders (-1)

Tech had many opportunities to pull off the upset against Oklahoma State, leaving fans once again questioning whether or not this team can close out games.

6. Texas Longhorns (-)

After the Maryland loss, Texas has been one of the top defenses in the country and remained hot against Iowa State last weekend.

7. Kansas State Wildcats (-)

The Cats took care of business against the Big 12’s worst team, though it wasn’t all that pretty.

8. Iowa State Cyclones (-)

The Cyclones offense actually has some playmakers, but the Longhorn defense was relentless. They’ll bounce back.

9. Kansas Jayhawks (-)

How long can the Jayhawks stay out of the No. 10 spot?

10. Baylor Bears (-)

Nothing is going right for the Bears, who lost in a snoozefest in Manhattan last weekend.
