It’s safe that this week couldn’t be as shocking as the last one, and in fact, it wasn’t. There were 14 ranked vs. unranked games and ranked teams went 14-0. In addition, Penn State and Notre Dame had higher rankings than Michigan and USC, and both won.
Consequently, the top-8 stayed unchanged, with Alabama still at the top. The only team to drop from the ranking were the Wolverines, and they were replaced by Iowa State, that beat Texas Tech on Saturday. Including the Cyclones, at the moment there are five Big 12 teams in the ranking.
Expect more movements next week, as we’ll have four ranked vs. ranked matchups.
