Ivonne Cook-Taylor, the Senior scoring machine notched a season-high 19 points in their loss. Recee’ Caldwell recorded 16 points and 5 assists. Larryn Brooks and Jada Terry scored in double figures as well.
This past Saturday, the Lady Raiders traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to face the Jayhawks for the first time this season. Once again, offense was sputtering as they dropped a close one. The 66-60 loss was a in huge part because of the Jayhawks inability to miss the basket in the second half. Kansas shot 76% from the field while holding Texas Tech 42% in the 3rd quarter alone. Although Texas Tech’s shooting was hindered, Ivonne CookTaylor a second-straight double digit game with 14 points. Larryn Brooks scored 14 points, while Larryn Brooks scored 11.
