The Texas Tech men’s track & field team is ranked in the Top-25 Indoor Preseason National Team Rankings for the third year in a row. They come in at No. 12.
Led by Trey Culver, the Junior National high jump champion, the Red Raiders return eight student-athletes that earned All-American honors in the past. Four of those student-athletes earned them in indoor events.
Culver has been named to the Bowerman Preseason Watch List after being named first team All-American for both his indoor and outdoor high jump showings last year. He was a second team All-American his freshman year.
Other key returners include: Steven Champlin, Kyle Collins, C.J. Jones, Brandon Bray, Charles Brown, Vincent Crisp and Benard Keter.
The Red Raiders open the 2017 season at the Commodore Invitational this Friday, Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. CST in Nashville, Tennessee.
