Thomas Brandsma transfers to Texas Tech

Well, Chris Beard certainly inspires loyalty. So much so that forward Thomas Brandsma will be transferring from Little Rock to Texas Tech to finish out his career with Beard as his coach. This is the fourth school in as many years Brandsma has transferred to, and all 5 years have been with Chris Beard.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, Chris Beard inspires loyalty to the point where the players he coaches follow him all over the country. On the other hand, this is kind of a mercenary move, and ever since Tubby Smith left I have extreme trust issues when it comes to coaches.

All in all, I think this is a positive. I really do think that Chris Beard is here to stay, and that he will be an amazing coach here. Getting these kinds of transfers is going to bolster our offensive depth in a massive way.
