I don't condone betting on sports, because I think it's immoral. However, I do watch betting lines closely, just to see what Vegas thinks of the different matchups and the different teams during the week. This week, Bovada's Heisman odds have been updated, and those updates include Patrick Mahomes.

Texas Tech QBs have always had to shake the stigma of playing in the Air Raid, and Patrick Mahomes will as well. I'm not discounting the RB and WR from Alabama, I'm sure that they're good players, but Patrick Mahomes has started more games than both of them combined. Having a running back who has never started a single game over a quarterback who has started 1 1/2 seasons seems ridiculous, but there's a reason why the oddsmakers make the odds and I don't.
Leonard Fournette, who was last seen rumbling for 200+ against the Texas Tech defense, moved into the top spot for best odds to win the Heisman. Baker Mayfield and Jarrett Stidham, who will most likely start for their respective teams, have graced this list as well.
