The quarterfinals of our uniform tournament conclude today with a battle between two combos worn for the first time during the Kingsbury era last season, both in losses to private schools on I-35.
The #2 seed is a black helmet, red jersey, and black pants. These were worn in a nail-biting loss at home to TCU, marking the first time Texas Tech wore red under coach Kingsbury. The #7 seed is the black helmet, white jersey, with red pants, worn the following week in a loss against Baylor. This black/white/red look had been worn in years past, but this marked the first time during the Kingsbury era.
Which combo do you like more? Make sure to vote in the poll below! Voting ends at midnight. The winner of this matchup will advance to the semifinals to face yesterday’s winner.
#2 Black/Red/Black
#7 Black/White/Red
