Texas Tech is coming off of a huge week last week. The Red Raiders picked up two key wins against top 25 opponents in Iowa St and Baylor. Now, #3 Oklahoma comes to town. The last time Texas Tech and Oklahoma faced off the Sooners blew out the Red Raiders by 24. This time the game is in Lubbock and Texas Tech has a lot of momentum.

In the last game against Texas Tech, Buddy Hield scored 30 points and had 6 rebounds. Hield was also 5 of 8 from 3-point range. Four of Oklahoma's starting five scored 13+ points and had 4+ rebounds in the last meeting against the Red Raiders. To have any chance, Texas Tech will have to slow up Hield somehow someway. The Red Raiders will have to play well against Ryan Spangler as well down low. Last game Spangler had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Two of the Sooners' 4 losses for the entire season have came in 2 of their last 3 games. Kansas St picked up an 11-point upset against Oklahoma and no one saw that coming. The Sooners snuck out a 3-point win against Texas but then followed that up with a 4-point loss to an elite Kansas squad. A few weeks ago Oklahoma was the #1 one team in the country and looked like one of the favorites to make it to the Final Four but now they've slipped up a bit. Texas Tech on the other hand has a lot of momentum flowing in their direction and they get to host Oklahoma in what will surely be a hostile environment in Lubbock.
Prediction
Texas Tech 73 - Oklahoma 79
The last time these two met up, Oklahoma was favored by 14 and now they're only favored by 5. Texas Tech is hot right now and is looking to keep things going in the right direction to make it to the Big Dance. I still believe Oklahoma is the better team but if there was ever a time that Texas Tech could pull off the upset it would be now. Everything is aligned just right and the Red Raiders could walk out of the USA with the win if everything falls into place.
