A meeting was held in Dallas today with officials from Big XII schools as well as officials from expansion candidates. The schools met for a few hours this morning but did not have the votes necessary to move on expansion.

Speculation ran rampant when this picture with the Big XII logo and Cincinnati's logo surfaced on Snapchat but the rumors and speculation ended up being just that. Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec was in attendance of the meeting and was one of the last ones to leave the meeting.
This may just be the latest chapter in Big XII makes noise for no discernible reason, or it could mean legitimate progress towards making a decision on expansion. A press conference is still scheduled for 5:30 CST but it’s anyone’s guess as to what of consequence will be said at the press conference. Let’s just sit back and see what comes next.
