The Red Raiders bring a perfect home record into Saturday’s matchup with West Virginia set for 11 a.m. CDT. Monday, Kliff Kingsbury, Luke Stice and Cameron Batson met with the media Monday to reflect on the loss to Kansas State and preview this weekend’s homecoming game.

Kliff Kingsbury

Kliff had a lot to say and it’s worth watching, but I think the biggest take away was on Patrick Mahomes and that Pat basically made himself available for the game and it was his decision to come out or not. Kliff said that he never considered putting Nic Shimonek in for Pat. I think we all would’ve gone along the same lines, as even if he doesn’t get it done, we still have the utmost confidence in Pat.

It sounds like Pat will be full strength this upcoming weekend, and the tired arm that we saw this last week shouldn’t be there.

Kliff also addresses the offensive line, how they haven’t played clean games the last two weeks, and a few injuries that we should care about.
