Lubbock Eats: #4 Seeds vs #5 Seeds

This week is the last matchups of round 1, who will advance to the next round?

Last week was the #3 seeds vs #6 seeds and we had our first upset of the Lubbock Eats bracket. Gaining 41% of the vote was #6 Twisted Root and #3 Rosa's Cafe. The combination of Twisted Root and Rosa's beat out #3 Mesquite's and #3 Rosa's by 2% which in this case was only 6 votes. This week we have the #4 seeds and #5 seeds squaring off for the final spots in the second round. Make sure you vote, as you can see from last week every vote counts! Voting ends at noon on Monday.

#4 Triple J Chophouse vs #5 Caprock Cafe

Triple J Chophouse is located in the Depot District and is a staple of Lubbock. They don't only have delicious food but they also have their own brewery which you won't find anywhere else in Lubbock. They have a list of several in-house brews and I recommend trying all of them. To go along with their awesome food and in-house brews, they have live music most nights of the week. Caprock Cafe is conveniently located on 34th and Indiana and as well as 82nd and Slide. No matter which location you go to, you will have a great experience. Caprock Cafe is known for its friendly staff, great beverages, and delicious food. They have pretty much any sandwich and wrap you can think of, my personal favorite is the Down & Dirty Fried Chicken Sandwich.

#4 Picantes vs #5 Orlando's

Picantes is one of those mom and pop places on 34th that you will find packed on the weekends. One of their best known items is their huge breakfast burritos. You can basically get them loaded up with whatever you want and to top it off you can get it smothered with queso. This is a great cure for a long night of partying after a Red Raider win. Good Italian food is hard to come by in the Hub City but luckily there is Orlando's. Orlando's has two easy to find locations on Ave Q and Indiana. Orlando's was voted "Best Italian Food" in Lubbock and was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor this year. While their service is excellent, their food is even better. They have all the Italian favorites and even some "Tex-Italian" items. You can't go wrong with The Original Supreme pizza!
