Texas Tech Picks Up Their 6th Commit

Texas Tech adds another receiver to their stockpile with the commitment of Antoine Cox-Wesley out of Cibolo Steele High School.

Ivan Pierre Aguirre-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Raiders now have six verbal commits for the 2016 class after Antoine Cox-Wesley made his pledge tonight. He is a 6'3 (or 6'4 depending on the source) wide receiver out of Cibolo Steele. This was the high school program Associate Head Coach Mike Jinks headed up before coming to Tech. There isn't a lot of Cox-Wesley's film available. His hudl videos are private and he doesn't have any specific youtube video highlights, so there isn't anything to use as an evaluation tool at this point.

I hope and assume that Jinks is well connected to him and has found us an under the radar guy. He is an unrated recruit on 247, Rivals and Scout. I cannot find him receiving any other offers outside of Texas Tech. Coach Kingsbury has mentioned on several occasions about wanting more height on the outside, so Cox-Wesley fits that description.

Hopefully we can find some film on him in near the future and give you some insights.

Current verbal commits:
Neiman Armstrong: DB, DeSoto
Antoine Cox-Wesley: WR, Cibolo Steele
Donte Coleman: TE, West Mesquite
Emoree Giddens, OL, Lubbock Coronado
Gio Pancotti: OL, Houston Episcopal
Da'Leon Ward: RB, Dallas Skyline
