Sophomore running back Justin Stockton was named to Brandon Chatmon's unsung heroes for week 6.
Unfortunately there wasn't all good news for Texas Tech, a verbal commit Emoree Giddens was arrested on vehicle burglary charges. He held two offers, one from Texas Tech and one from Weber State. When we offered him he was unranked, he is now a 3-star recruit across the recruiting sites.

The commitment from 2017 OL Jack Anderson was picked up by Bleacher Report, it's always nice to see Texas Tech get some media love.
Steve Sarkisian was asked to step away from the USC football program after some startling news came to the surface regarding his alcohol use.
The ol' ball coach, Steve Spurrier, announced his retirement effective immediately. But no worries, Arby's is offering up a nice retirement party for him.
