Are the good times really over?

I'll look over you.
I'll look over you.
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Teach me to forget what happened on Saturday. I wish I could have said, "It's been a great afternoon." Instead, there I was, mixing misery and gin. The Red Raiders were never really high on a hilltop before facing Arkansas, but now we're barely holding things together. The running kind can do that to you.

"That's the way love goes," they say. Someday when things are good, you'll be glad you saw it through to stay a little longer instead of catching that ramblin' fever.

Just hang on, and if we make it through December, it'll be better than living with the shades pulled down.

If you're around the big city this weekend, there could be some swinging doors, a jukebox, and a barstool with your name on it...

RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK:

The fair is the place to be, mainly for the food: fried cheese on a stick, fried green tomatoes, and fried pies, just to name a few of my favorites. It only comes once a year, after all, so live it up. Do a few more laps on the elliptical, and you'll be fine.

What say you, VTMers?
