Amaro Still Waiting: The first round of the NFL Draft came and went and TE Jace Amaro didn't get picked.  Amaro tweeted out last night that teams would regret that decision:

It seemed early that the idea was that Amaro would go in the first round, but slipped the last few weeks as other players moved up, but I don't think that's a huge deal.  I  almost never look at the comments on LAJ articles, but I did that this morning and there's one lone comment there from a person called Football Realist (LAJ):

The pros probably looked back at his career and saw what we all know. One good vicious hit coming across the middle and Amaro becomes shell shocked the rest of the game. He's mentally weak.

Student Athletes of the Year: Congrats to Jaye Crockett, the male athlete of the year and Taylor Powell and Hayley Haagsma, the co-female athletes of the year!

Duffield and Kithuka Deserve Congrats: Congrats to high jumper JaCorian Duffield, who has been named the Big 12 Men's Athlete of the Week (via Texas Tech) and distance runner Kennedy Kithuka has been named to the Bowerman Trophy Watch List which names the top male and female track athlete of the year (via Texas Tech).

Women's Tennis In NCAA's: The women's tennis team will play Ole Miss today at 12:00 pm in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Tennis Center and if they win, they will play the winner of UCLA vs. Sacramento St. (via Texas Tech).
