#8 Kentucky Wildcats (29-10) vs #7 Connecticut Huskies (31-8)

Game Time – Monday, April 7th at 8:10 PM

Preview - The championship game tonight will go down to the last minute. These two teams have overcame a lot of obstacles in the tournament to make it this far. Both have knocked off #1 seeds, both have battled from getting seeded lower than they deserved, both have something to prove to everybody who doubted them. It is the perfect recipe for a major clash for the trophy and title of NCAA Champs.

UConn stunned the Florida Gators by playing some incredible defense and holding the Final Four favorites to only making one outside shot all game. They held the usually unstoppable senior guard Scottie Wilbekin to only 4 points on 2-9 shooting. It is the defense of UConn that can win them a title, they have an ability to shut down the best offenses in the country. Also, with the leadership of senior superstar Shabazz Napier they have experience on their side.

Kentucky finds ways to win games period. They are always pushed to their limits and find a way to drain the game clinching shot when time is running out. It is dramatic and shows the never give up attitude that turns winners into champions. Late downtown shots from Aaron Harrison have secured victories for UK in the past two games. It has been a thrill to watch the reaction and emotions of the players and fans.

I have found myself jumping off the couch and screaming throughout most games since the tournament has started, and UK has been the team to provide the most rambunctious outbursts. Julius Randle and his fellow freshman have provided some amazing highlights all tourney long, so has Napier and UConn. I know both teams will give some more memorable moments tonight as they strive to win it all.
