Not really one big thing out there this morning, so let's just get to the links.  Later today, we will have the VTM basketball roundtable, an open thread for the baseball series in Houston and The Weekender later this afternoon.  Pretty good little day.

Doege to Roughriders: Congrats to former Red Raider Seth Doege who has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (via WreckEm247). If I remember correctly, Saskatchewan is near Montana and it's largest city is Saskatoon. The link is a good interview with the folks at WreckEm247 and Doege talks about his decision to head north:

"I had a little bit of interest from NFL teams, but not enough to gain a workout or sign a contract," Doege said. "The next step for me was to try to get on a CFL roster. The league has always intrigued me with how they spread it out and how they always throw the football. It’s a great league for anyone that wants to continue playing football."

Go read the whole thing.

Interview with Shaq Davis: An interview with incoming JUCO player Shaquille Davis, who says he needs to work on consistency (via Southern California Preps):

"I'd have to say my consistency with the level of play that I play at cause Ive always had some pretty good plays but sometimes I feel like over the years Ive gotten a little lazy."

Pre-Spring Rankings: I hope I catch this stuff as it comes out, but the folks at the ESPN Big 12 blog are figuring ranking the different positions and up first is the special teams (via ESPN). Texas Tech is 4th in special teams.
