Jordan Jackson and C.J. Williamson to Sign with Texas Tech

Texas Tech and Tubby Smith will sign two players to national letters of intent today, Jordan Jackson and C.J. Williamson, as part of the 2015 recruiting class.

Today is a really big day in a lot of basketball circles because it is the first day that athletes for the 2015 class can sign their National Letter of Intent.

The first commit for Tubby Smith's 2015 class was a legacy commit, in Jordan Jackson, the son of Sheryl Swoopes. Jackson is a 6-3 shooting guard from St. Pius X in the Houston area. You can read MikeTTU's reaction when he committed and a few days later I was able to write Jackson's player profile.

The second commit, and most likely final commit, is C.J. Williamson, a 6-7 point forward from Orlando, Florida. Williamson is a long player with point guard skills but the body of a small foward. Just as with Jackson, MikeTTU had a post ready to go and I was able to write the player profile on Williamson a few days later.

Overall, I just absolutely love these two commitments because I think that the staff sees the potential in both of these players and they have a ton of room to grow. I think both players are really scratching the surface of where they are and where they will be. This is how programs are made, just like with the 2015 class. Zach Smith, Keenan Evans, Isaiah Manderson, Norense Odiase and Justin Gray are just getting started and they should be a huge part of Texas Tech's program moving forward.
