Post-Game Thread: Texas Tech 34 Kansas 21

It wasn't pretty, but it's been more than a month since we last got to celebrate. So make the most of it, responsibly. Ring your bell responsibly.

Feels so good

The Texas Tech Red Raiders outlasted the Kansas Jayhawks 34-21 on a cloudy afternoon in Lubbock and improved to 3-4 on the season. With the victory the Red Raiders snapped an eight-game conference losing streak.

Two Davis Webb turnovers led to 14 Kansas points and made the game closer than it should have been but Mike Smith continues to work wonders with Pete Robertson and the entire defense and the Tech running game is looking better by the week. Ian Sadler and Justin Stockton both had key touchdowns in the second half.

It's still painfully frustrating to watch at times, but the young players on both sides of the ball combined with the excitement that Mike Smith is bringing to his defense has many looking forward to the future. There is some tough sledding ahead but tonight Red Raiders should celebrate. And then tomorrow it's on to TCU.

In other news, Kliff Kingsbury did not wear sunglasses during the game.

Wreck 'em.
