Well, what a game last night that I didn't watch. thank you off-brand Nyquil. I feel much better this morning and slept the entire night. But I did watch highlights this morning and whoah. Pretty good little win for Oklahoma. Pretty good little win.

Women's Basketball
Lady Raiders Blown Out by OU: Texas Tech was ran out of their own building last night, losing to #22 Oklahoma by 30 points (via official site and LAJ). This is a team with little to no inside players. This is not going to be a good year from a record standpoint. I think Candi Whitaker already has 3 or 4 post players ready to sign next year. Curry knew what she was doing last year when she left for Alabama after having a senior dominated team.
Men's Basketball
TV vs. West Virginia Changes: The television for Monday's game against West Virginia has been moved to the Big 12 Network and ESPN3 (via official site).
BON Looks at Big 12: Pretty good look at each of the Big 12 teams heading into conference play. They think it's going to be a rough year for Texas Tech in conference play (I agree), but they still feel confident in Tubby Smith as a head coach and as a recruiter (I agree) (via Burnt Orange Nation).
Football
Nicholas to Bowling Green: Former Texas Tech quarterback Clayton Nicholas has decided to transfer to Bowling Green University (via Big Country). I hope Nicholas finds success there and wish him well.
Amaro to Intern at SAEN: This is an article actually by TE Jace Amaro, who has declared for the NFL Draft and will intern for the San Antonio Express News for a few weeks (via SAEN). Here's Amaro on dealing with the press:
This season, facing the media really helped me grow up. With social media, anything you say and do is out there, and there are always people listening. It really has changed my communication skills. Part of being a football player now is to know how to talk on the run, think quickly and answer questions with careful thought and detailed response.
You think it's a good idea of have a Texas Tech guy roaming the sidelines at an All-American game in San Antonio and talking to these high school players? Me too.
Clark to Greyshirt: Texas Tech commit Joseph Clark, who had a season ending knee injury earlier in the year, has agreed to greyshirt (via $ WreckEm 24/7). This is a pay link, but the information, which is that Clark has agreed to greyshirt, is free. So that opens up scholarship spot in this class. The question now is if a commitment could be forthcoming.
Heavier the Better: A study about how the heaviest football teams are the best football teams, with exceptions (via USA Today). Obviously nothing is absolute, but generally speaking. This should not be a surprise to anyone.
