Pretty light day for links this morning. If you're reading this at home, don't forget to set your DVR's and see item #1 below.

2. Talent but Lack of Depth on Defensive Line | The LAJ has their look at the defensive line and Don Williams does confirm that although Kerry Hyder and Dartwan Bush are both listed at defensive end, Hyder will play all along the line. Here's DL coach John Scott, Jr.:
"Kerry’s a versatile guy," Scott said. "He’s good enough to play all three positions across the board. He could be the end, the nose or the tackle, depending on what kind of package we’re in. He’s an explosive kid, quick twitch. We’re looking for him to have a big year."
This article is also informative in that Jackson Richards is now up to 270, which is still a bit light to play tackle, but Richards is working on it and that's good enough for me. Richards is a worker, so I'm sure he is doing as much as he can. And Scott also says that incoming JUCO DE/DT Demetrius Alston is going to play immediately and he has three years of eligibility. Hoo Rah!
3. Big 12 Preseason and Preview Stuff | National Football Post has their Big 12 summer power rankings and they, surprisingly, have Texas Tech 5th. I think the rest of the order might surprise you. Crystal Ball Run released their Big 12 All-Conference Team (it is just the first team) and includes LT Le'Raven Clark and DT Kerry Hyder.
4. Clark at #5 on Critical 20 | RP continues their Critical 20 series and includes the aforementioned Le'Raven Clark.
5. Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings | RRS ranks the Big 12 running backs Hanni has RB Kenny Williams at #8 and RB DeAndre Washington at #14.
