1. APR Scores Released | Because it is the internet and because I can do these sorts of things, like take screen shots of the reports themselves, everything is here. You can find the original sizes here: 1, 2, 3 and 4. The official site has their own press release and there are additional comments in the LAJ about how football and baseball need to improve, although everyone is in good shape. You can also go the NCAA website to check things out.

There are a handful of things that I really don't care about when it comes to college athletics and I don't know what this says about me. I don't care about the APR and I have never really taken the time to know what it means. I just am told what is a good number and what is a bad number. I suppose I would care if a Texas Tech sport ever got close to being in trouble, but that hasn't happened yet. I also don't care about bowl alignment stuff as it seems like that stuff happens regardless of whether or not I know how teams are picked.

2. Football Camp Update - Lancaster | The LAJ has a lot of updates from yesterday's Lancaster camp. If you are into recruiting, go check it out.

3. Congrats to Grimes | Canyon native and Texas Tech hurdler Katie Grimes received the Dick Bynum Memorial Award, which goes to the Amarillo area's best female athlete. Congrats!

4. 18 Baseball Players Earn Academic Honors | Congrats to the 18 players that received academic honor roll honors.

5. Chapman Named Kansas Women's Tennis Coach | Congrats to now former Texas Tech assistant, Todd Chapman, who was just named the head coach for the Kansas Jayhawks. Chapman had been an assistant at Texas Tech for the past four years.

6. Frank the Tank Q&A on Off Tackle Empire | For all of you who enjoy good, old fashioned realignment and expansion talk, expansion expert Frank the Tank was on SBN's Big Ten blog, Off Tackle Empire.

7. ESPN's Best and Worst Case | Ubben hates you and he's given you the best case and worst case for Texas Tech. This is good and all, but I really wish that people would look at the numbers from the spring to see how far Brewer distanced himself from Webb. Kingsbury had to play a true freshman in 2010 at Houston and went 5-7. It's not the easiest thing to win games with a freshman quarterback.

8. It is Finally Time for the Big 12 | SBN's Bill Connelly is starting his football preview of the Big 12 and up first is the Kansas Jayhawks and you will learn more about the Jayhawks by reading this than anything else on the internet. I promise.

9. Softball Adds Player | Welcome to College of Idaho's Lea Hopson, who has signed with Texas Tech!

10. Slideshow Stuff | If you like slideshows on the internet, then the DMN is the place for you as they have the five biggest departures and the players who will replace them. It seems like I've already read this before, but now it is in picture form.
