Morning links: odds and ends with the USA Today accounting stats, the Techspys, the women's golf team set to tee off today, the women's tennis team getting ready to host a NCAA regional, a photo of Vasquez, Welker and Ramirez.

Odds and Ends

This is allegedly a photo of Billy the Kid, Doc Holliday and Jesse James (via Kottke). There is apparently some discrepancy if this is actually a photo of them. Would have been a lot more clear about who was in the photo if they would have taken a selfie and posted it on Instagram with a sepia filter.

USA Today has released their financial reports and you can take a look at Texas Tech's stuff. They are on the positive side of the ledger even with a subsidy. The only thing that I would warn you about is that every university has their own accounting system and may do things differently than others. Team Speed Kills has some terrific examples about how these accounting systems create some uncertainty in these numbers.

The Techspys

This made me smile:

The Lady Raider golf team will tee off today in Norman, Oklahoma, in the NCAA Central Regional. Good luck! The LAJ talks to the golfers about this course.

The Lady Raider tennis team is hosting an NCAA regional starting May 11th and this is where you can find all of the details and results. The LAJ has an article on this incredible group of seniors who have left quite a legacy. Congratulations to Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo for earning All-Big 12 Honors!

Further congratulations to Raphael Pfister for being named the Big 12 Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year! It seems like Texas Tech is sweeping this award in tennis and in golf? Right? Woot!

Kegs 'n Eggs has the conference champion odds and Vegas seems to be in line with the handful of preseason prognosticators.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was on what I think was 105.3 the Fan, but I'm not totally sure about that. 105.3 the Fan is a DFW sports radio station, but I'm pretty much a P1 of the Ticket or 91.7. #loyalty

So this is pretty awesome: Louis Vasquez, Wes Welker and Manny Ramirez.
