Odds and Ends
So this is the part of the year where there just isn't a lot happening. We've had the spring sports to keep us occupied, but now, I think there is only one sport going, which is men's golf. The links will be sparse on some days. Stay strong folks.
Totally Texas Tech has some terrific new campus photos.
Golf
Starting this morning at 8:40 am, Texas Tech will tee off to start the NCAA Championship at Crabapple Course at Capital City Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Details are at the link to follow the team as they work their way through the this tournament.
Men's Basketball
Hat-tip Red and Black 71, via American Press, it appears that former Texas Tech point guard, Josh Gray, is in a bit of trouble as he and two other men were arrested for shoplifting about six days ago in Sulphur, Louisiana. Gray is originally from Louisiana before moving to Houston his senior year of high school. Innocent until proven guilty, but still, this isn't good.
Speaking of Gray, I did find this post from Real GM, which projects the Big 12 and writes that Josh Gray had way too many inefficient possessions as a point guard. Um, yes, this was true, he did have a lot of bad possessions, but I find it interesting that the numbers came to the same conclusion as I would be surprised if the writer for Real GM watched a lot of Texas Tech basketball. IF, and this is a big if, Robert Turner can be a distributor and not turn the ball over, then I could see improvement as well.
Football
The LAJ has a good story on former Red Raider, DT Richard Jones, who is currently a faith based rapper. Good stuff.
Football Study Hall has F/+ numbers for the past 6 years or so for the Big 12. Some good and interesting things here for sure.
