Odds and Ends

I mentioned this in the comments of the "help wanted" post and I hope to get to the handful of emails tonight. I've had to work through some things. So, if you emailed me, I'll be getting to this soon.

#longreads SB Nation has a terrific story about the legend of Malacrianza, Costa Rica's badass killer bull.

The official site has details on Jones AT&T Stadium being available for graduation photos this weekend. Which reminds me . . . congratulations to all of our VTM readers who are graduating this weekend!

Congrats to Mikey Kenney for being named to the All-Big 12 Second Team!

Track and Field

The official site has the results of all of the incoming athletes that did well at the Texas state meet.

The baseball team will travel to Arizona St. to take on the Sun Devils tonight. First pitch is at 8:30. This is the last mid-week game and I think that the baseball team has one last series with Baylor to end the season this weekend. The LAJ has a preview of tonight's game.

Men's Basketball

The Big 12 - SEC Challenge will be played this year and Texas Tech will face Alabama. CBS Sports reports that, sophomore Minnesota G Joe Crawford has been granted his release. Sure would be nice to have a guard that scored 8.7 points and grabbed 3.9 boards on this team. No one has been said that Texas Tech is an option, but it sure would be nice.

To come in a separate post.
