STORIES OF THE DAY

Friday Night Lights! I've been crazy busy this week, personal and professional, but I thought this was really a fantastic idea. To go under the lights on a Friday night during the spring. That just sounds fantastic and I hope that this is something that continues through the years. When watching the video, you see that the reporters only asked questions about the offense, which is a bit frustrating. Questions were asked about RB Quinton White, QB Michael Brewer, QB Davis Webb, RB/IR Sadale Foster, RB Kenny Williams, and the offensive line overall.

The only free article that I found this morning focus on the quarterback competition between Brewer and Webb and that's not really surprising. The LAJ :

Both quarterbacks had bright spots in their performances Friday, and Kingsbury said he was most impressed with the way Davis and Brewer bounced back after slow starts. At one point, the defense thwarted the offense in five consecutive short-field situations, leading to two failed fourth downs, two Kramer Fyfe field goals and a missed field goal.

"I was impressed they hung in there," Kingsbury said of the quarterbacks. "They didn’t get rattled. It was ugly early, but they kept going and made some great throws at the end. That’s what you want, short-term memory."

Kosmider reported that Brewer was 20 of 31 with 1 interception with 4 touchdowns and Webb was 12 of 23 for 135 yards and 3 touchdowns. QB Clayton Nicholas only attempted 2 passes, so this seems like right now it is a two-quarterback race.

The official site video and the video from the LAJ show off a bit of Quinton White, who just looks explosive. The funny thing is that he might not even really play this year. The running back spot looks to be in pretty good hands.
