Morning links: softball, tennis, golf, track and field, baseball, and football.

SOFTBALL | The softball team will host the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners this weekend. Gulp!

TENNIS | The women's team is #15, while the men are #44 in the intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 75. #

GOLF | The women's team finished 3rd in the Marsh Landing Invitation in Florida. There were also a handful of men and women that were named to the Academic All-Big 12 teams. Congrats!

TRACK AND FIELD | The men's and women's teams are #14 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings.

BASEBALL | The baseball team had a mid-week game against Dallas Baptist and lost 10-9. At least the offense tabled some runs, which is a good thing. The problem is that they scored all 9 runs in the second inning and allowed DBU to come back and win and couldn't manage another runs. I can't remember if I posted, this, the LAJ asked if the sweep against K-State was the worst it has been for Texas Tech.

FOOTBALL | I think I've always thought that Louisville would have made an awesome addition to the Big 12 and Barking Carnival agrees. Of course, if we're asking why, don't we blame Texas? Texas Football looks at the returning starters for the offensive line for the Texas colleges. CBSSports' Dennis Dodd is giving up his Heisman vote because the Heisman folks are making him sign a non-disclosure form.
