Morning links: women's basketball, tennis, softball, baseball and odds and ends.

USA TODAY Sports

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

South Florida vs. Texas Tech
United Spirit Arena, Lubbock, Texas | March 23rd @ 5:30 pm
TV: ESPN2

A very big day and would like to start off the links by giving out some love to two SB Nation sites, South Florida blog, Voodoo Five, who has a terrific preview of the game, and the blog dedicated to women's basketball, Swish Appeal, who also preview the game. Great work!

The official site has your preview of today's game. The LAJ has a ton of articles, so I'm going to list them all like I used to just list the links:

* After year away from NCAAs, Lady Raiders back and ready to make a splash | Red Raiders
* In final act, Moore hopes to find Cinderella magic with Fresno State | Red Raiders
* NCAA Notebook: Fresno State not your typical No. 15 seed | Red Raiders
* Lady Raiders pick up another post commitment for 2014 | Red Raiders

That last link is about Claire Rickets, a 6-3 post from John Paul II H.S. in Plano. You can check out a profile of her at MVP Sports Recruiting and watch some YouTube video of a pretty darned athletic 6-3 post player. Git Your Guns Up Claire!

TENNIS | The tennis team kicked rear yesterday, beating UTEP 7-0 and West Virginia 6-1. They play again on Sunday.

SOFTBALL | The softball team lost both games yesterday, to #18 Tulsa 5-1 and to UNLV 5-3. Get back at it today!

BASEBALL | As always, you can catch up with everything on the baseball post, but the baseball team was shutout 2-0 against West Virginia as the offense only managed three hits. Also, they apparently know that there will be inclement weather and they are moving Sunday's game to today and will play at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The LAJ recaps the game.

ODDS AND ENDS | I mentioned some time ago about a soccer blog, Stars and Stripes FC, but also wanted to plug American Soccer Now Home, which has excellent soccer coverage and employs a very good Red Raider in Jon Arnold, who you see on occasion here at VTM . . . DO NOT EVER call Vince Wilfork's wife ugly. And let this be a lesson to anyone that makes fun of someone physically because there is always someone that will kick your ass . . . A New Mexico writer for their Rivals site has abandoned his team . . .
