Monday Morning Links at Viva The Matadors | 2013-03-18

Morning links: track and field, softball, tennis, women's basketball, baseball and football.

USA TODAY Sports

PRINTABLE BRACKET | I will be adding some sort of Yahoo! Tournament Pick'Em over the next day or so, but in the meantime, if you need a printable bracket, then SB Nation has you covered.

TRACK AND FIELD | The track team participated in San Diego and had 9 first place finishes (official site).

SOFTBALL | The softball team finished out their weekend tournament with a win against Marist, 6-0 (official site). The DT has an excellent profile on senior slugger Adriana Perez.

TENNIS | The women's team gets a 6-1 win over Oklahoma, the first conference win of the year (official site), while the men's team loses in the finals of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic (official site).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | The women's NCAA selection show starts at 6:00 pm, and I think I read where RndRckTTU will have an open thread (official site). Lubbock is hosting some games, so there's information at that link about that.

I also really recommend the LAJ's Tommy Magelssen profile on Casey Morris. Just fantastic work on a fantastic player.

BASEBALL | The baseball team won the series yesterday with a 4-2 win against the Longhorns (official site). I've got all three games updated on the weekend baseball post.

FOOTBALL | Normally I wouldn't post this an article about a player potentially picking Texas Tech, but this player, South Oak Cliff DB Jyaz Jones, was asked about three different teams, UT, Baylor and Texas Tech (DMN). Jones only mentioned one coach by name, Trey Haverty. Just something to watch.
