Tuesday Morning Links at Viva The Matadors | 2013-03-12

Morning links: track and field, golf, softball, baseball, men's basketball and football.

It's going to be a long day for me, but I do have a couple of posts scheduled today, one basketball recruiting and a football related post. The men's basketball team plays WVU tomorrow, so we'll have that too.

* Red Raider basketball lands in Kansas City hoping to shock the Big 12 while interim-head coach Chris Walker’s future remains unsettled | College Sports Blog
* Bohls: Nine things and one crazy prediction | www.statesman.com | I know that a lot of you roll your eyes regarding Bohls, but he has a direct line with Hocutt (some way, some how) and had this to say about head coach Chris Walker:

Texas Tech Athletic director Kirby Hocutt has a tough decision to make and either keep classy, smart interim hoops coach Chris Walker, who kept Texas Tech’s team from coming apart at the seams after Billy Gillispie’s messy exit, or hiring from outside. I’m betting on the latter. "We’ve got to get it right," Hocutt told me Saturday. "We’re at the bottom. This is too important."

The only thing that I really want for the program is for Hocutt to hire the best possible candidate, whether it is Walker or not. I love what Walker did, but I really want Hocutt to go through the process.
