Texas Tech Morning Links | WBB Back in Action Tonight; Baseball Schedule Released

The Lady Raiders are back in action tonight against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, while the baseball team released their schedule yesterday. We also have some links from last night's Carol of Lights lighting ceremony.

Links: The Carol of Lights was last night and the DT and LAJ have articles about one of the best things about Texas Tech. In other cool things, Totally Texas Tech has the GoPro video of the parachute jumpers jumping out of the plane before the Kansas St. game.

Women's Basketball: The LAJ and the DT both have articles about how the Lady Raiders have returned from their trip from New York (I've embedded a video of the team at the 9/11 Memorial). G Minta Spears says that the team needs to work on turnovers.

"The coaches have really let us know about our turnovers," Spears said. "We were down to Rutgers by six or 10 points the entire game and had 21 turnovers. In a game like that, especially against a good Rutgers team, that’s going to be hard to come back and win. They’re really just telling us to take care of the ball and make good decisions."

The Lady Raiders host Arkansas-Pine Bluff tonight at 7:00 pm at the United Spirit Arena.

Baseball: The baseball team released their schedule yesterday and the LAJ and the DT have their stories about Texas Tech's 2014 opponents. HC Tim Tadlock talked to the LAJ about the tough schedule:

"It’s a challenging schedule," second-year head coach Tim Tadlock said. "Really, when you start talking about college baseball nowadays ... there’s a lot of parity and all the games are pretty close. The teams that play good baseball, that pitch well, play defense and manufacture some runs are the ones that win. I think it will be a very challenging schedule."

Football: I only found one football link, which is some video via Scout of OL committ Robert Castaneda in his final playoff game against the Woodlands.
