LINKS: This is going to be a great but short week. I have no idea what I'm going to do and post and my normal schedule is going to be off, but what I have on the way is a blogger Q&A with Burnt Orange Nation, a Weekly Conversation with SARR, an Inconography post for the week and if Kingsbury has a press conference, I'll have a Pullquotes post as well. Go ahead and add in a couple of basketball games today and tomorrow and we've got a really busy and fun week. Visit early and often.
Official Site Preview: The official site has their preview and the game notes offer zero insight in terms of changing the depth chart. Nothing to report.
Opening Line: The line opened, at least according to OddsShark, at 6, but I'm guessing that enough money came in on Texas Tech to get Vegas to change it to 4 or 4.5. It will be interesting to watch that line for the next few days.
Grant Looks for Big Return: The LAJ speaks with KR Jakeem Grant who hasn't been able to return a kickoff for a touchdown this year and says that it's frustrating, but he's continuing to work.
"It’s very frustrating," Grant said last week, "but you have to come back to practice and try to get things right and see what’s the reason why I’m not taking one back to the house. Is it just one or two blocks? Every man has to do his job at the right moment and the right time for me to bust a big one like I did last year."
Also from the LAJ from Sunday morning, they profiled the two tackles, Le'Raven Clark and Rashad Fortenberry.
Bowl Projections: SB Nation projects Texas Tech vs. Michigan in the Texas Bowl and ESPN is predicting the same fate (but unnamed Big 10 team).
Owens De-commits: Per GoVolsXtra, DT Owen Williams a defensive tackle commit from Butler CC in Kansas has de-committed from Texas Tech and committed to Tennessee. This hurts a bit and hope that the staff can get some defensive tackles on board.
BCS Realpolitik: SB Nation's Matt Hinton with one of my favorite articles of the week as he writes about the BCS.
EMAWdio Talks 11 Team Big 12: Our friends over at EMAWdio make the case for an 11 team Big 12. I'd love to add a couple of teams and, you know, get to 12 teams. EMAWdio really goes through the schedules and details.
