This Saturday is a time to reflect, put our lives back together, and get some stuff done around the house before the holidays descend upon us in their gravy covered glory. Here are a few suggestions/tips to get the ball rolling:
- Clean out the garage. It's been neglected. It misses you.
- Get the mower ready for winter storage. You'll be the talk of the town with your fuel additives and/or gas draining expertise.
- Call your family. They miss you probably almost as much as the garage.
- Talk trash to Longhorn fans.
- Do some Christmas shopping. I know, I'm more of a December 23rd kind of guy myself, but looking around online wouldn't be a bad idea.
- Learn how to play the fiddle. How hard can it be? You could probably crank that out in a couple of hours.
- Hang out with Sumlin at a Drake concert.
- Get out the grill and tell us about what you're cookin'.
- Do something that would merit a letter from Coach Snyder.
- Start a good book. Finishing it is optional, but you can relish knowing that you've started such a worthwhile endeavor.
Now, let's talk about what's going on around Raiderland.

RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK:
Bacon wrapped hot dogs covered in chili, onions, cheese and other goodies await. There are several tasty fried appetizers including the Armadillo Eggs, which are jalepenos stuffed with cream chease, wrapped in bacon, then battered and fried. Oh. My. Lanta. They have several types of dogs, from the traditional to the exotic, with the Touchdown Dog being one of my favorites. There's even a frito pie wrap! I've heard their burgers are some of the best in town, but I haven't tried them yet. Can't get passed them dawgs.
What say you, VTMers?
